Artist Sophie Tea Live "Body" Paints at Dreaming Eli's LFW Show
Known for her cult-following, Tea amplifies Dreaming Eli’s empowering messaging.
Renowned artist Sophie Tea joins forces with Dreaming Eli for its Spring/Summer 2025 runway show.
At London Fashion Week, Dreaming Eli debuted a c-nty cottagecore collection, inspired by the Greek myths of Scylla and Charybdis. Set deep in Sicily, the runway show pulled “inspiration particularly from the figures of Scylla, described in the Odyssey Homer as a supernatural female creature, with 12 feet and 6 heads on long snaky necks,” the show notes read. “From her lair in a cave, she would devour whatever ventured within reach, including six of Odysseus’s companions.”
The collection was an “ode” to Dreaming Eli’s founder and designer, Elisa Trombatore, as she aims to give the “villainised character” her “humanity and softness” back.
Bringing Trombatore’s vision to life, the artist with cult-following, Sophie Tea, debuted a live art performance of her own. Here, the Send Nudes author painted the silhouette of a strong, feminine body on a white dress.
For those unfamiliar with Tea, the London-based artist is known for her feminist artwork. Tea’s work knows no bounds as just last year, she locked herself in an auction box to “reclaim the nude” — after releasing her book, Send Nudes. For years now, her work has created safe spaces for all women, most notably, women battling cancer, inviting women to feel at home within themselves, again.
The final art piece will be live auctioned later this Fall, the brand shared.
