Bandit Running's NYC Marathon Pop-Up Store is Pure Fashion

A new collection to stunt in at your next run club.

Brooklyn-based cult running apparel brand Bandit is making the New York City Marathon fashionable. With over 50,000 runners, and even more family and friends in the city for the weekend to cheer along the course, the brand is taking full advantage of marathon fever with a special “Run City” pop-up store in SoHo.

The NYC Marathon is the biggest in the world, and with that popularity comes events all over the city as soon as Marathon weekend comes around. What better time for one of the coolest emerging brands in the space to make it their own? The Bandit pop-up has become an annual tradition, with the brand touring different cities with limited-edition collections, from Chicago to L.A. There’s no place like home, though, and the NYC capsule is always the one to look out for.

Though a relatively new name in the running community, Bandit has quickly become one of the best when it comes to bridging the gap between Strava and fashion. This year, the “Run City” collection garners inspiration from the city that never sleeps when the sun goes down. A moody color palette of black, grey and white mixed with a frosty blue and bright red makes the capsule pop, featuring across racing crop tops, running tees, hoodies, hats and more. Abstract graphics add a layer of chaos and intensity to the clothing, drawing on motion blur, surveillance-style grids and CCTV.

The “Run City” pop-up store will be open from October 30 to November 3 at 489 Broome Street. For more information and to RSVP for early access and special Marathon events, visit the Bandit website.

In other news, MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon’s new collab is a gorpcore dream.
