Balenciaga Unveils a Fur-Lined 2025 Skiwear Collection

With two new handbags made for the slopes.

Balenciaga has joined the rest of the industry in making alpine skiing the most fashionable sport of 2025. Announcing a new skiwear collection, the house hits the slopes in perfect style with garments that take you from the Alps to the streets with ease.

The collection is perfect for first-time skiers and veteran snowboarders alike, offering luxurious takes on winter essentials, even if aprés-ski and city breaks are the only things booked on your seasonal calendar. Fuzzy warmth was on the Balenciaga moodboard this year, with soft, fleece jackets, fur-lined puffers, hoodies and boots designed to keep you warm from the resort to the ski lift. Water-repellent shells and inner membranes ensure the styles are as functional as they are chic, with the brand integrating thermoregulating outerwear to create a multi-faceted capsule.

Arguably the most anticipated items from this drop, the bags did not disappoint. Aviator jacket-inspired remixes of the house’s Le City and Rodeo bags arrive in rich, brown calfskin with a shearling trim. Matching ribbon adds a gift-like whimsy to the accessories, tied in a bow on the front in place of charms.

This collection isn’t only about the clothes, though. Working with leading Italian snow equipment manufacturers, the brand is releasing a limited selection of mirror-effect snowboards, skis, helmets and goggles for a full look, merging top-tier technology and style.

The new skiwear collection is available to purchase now on the Balenciaga website and select retailers.

Elsewhere on the slopes, J.Lindeberg’s FW25 collection takes skiwear to outer space.
