Feeld Says Sports Are the Pathway to Love in 2026
The dating app’s annual RAW report predicts an active new trend in Gen Z dating.
Feeld has just released its annual RAW report, diving into changes in human sexuality and desire, and the key to Gen Z’s heart is on the court. According to RAW, sports are amongst the fastest growing interests for the younger generation, with tennis and soccer leading the pack. As certain sports and athletes become some of the most chic influencers around, it makes perfect sense that people are connecting through a mutual love of the game. Don’t be surprised if your next first date is the WNBA All-Star game.
Apart from tennis and soccer, which reported interest spikes upwards of 600 percent, basketball, football, running, swimming are amongst the most popular sports and activities for Gen Z. With the rise of run clubs and casual adult leagues for most sports, people are seeking connection from unconventional and slightly sweaty avenues. The growth of women’s sports and leagues also play a large role in the sudden spike in interest, as well as popular athletes like Angel Reese, Suni Lee and Trinity Rodman with a large social media presence.
If you’re looking for love in 2026, ditch the bars and head to your local sports team. Foam fingers and tailgates are replacing Cupid’s bow and arrow next year.
In other news, Michelle Agyemang was named BBC’s Young Sports Personality of the Year.
