Sprint in Style with Y-3's New Adizero Running Collection

Featuring marathon runner Tigst Assefa.

Y-3‘s Spring/Summer 2025 collection takes performance running to the next level with the launch of its “Adizero Running” capsule. Fronting the campaign is record-breaking marathon runner Tigst Assefa, captured running through the breathtaking landscapes of Addis Ababa. Her quiet determination and groundbreaking achievements embody the spirit of Y-3 — where innovation meets boundary-pushing design.

In collaboration with adidas, Yohji Yamamoto reimagines two elite running silhouettes: the Y-3 ADIOS PRO 4 and Y-3 ADIOS 9, both featuring mismatched stripe colorways. The ADIOS PRO 4, available in the colorways dark grey, white and blue, is inspired by adidas’ pinnacle race-day shoes, built with an ultra-lightweight, double-layered “Lightstrike Pro” midsole for peak performance. Meanwhile, the Y-3 ADIOS 9, offered in black, green and white, features a breathable “Lightlock” upper designed to adapt to the foot’s movement.

The collection extends beyond footwear, introducing performance-ready apparel for both men and women. Featuring tees, running jackets, tanks, shorts and leggings, the pieces arrive in an all-black palette and an all-over print — paying homage to Yohji Yamamoto’s design roots. Aeration plays a key role, with power mesh inserts enhancing breathability, while reflective Y-3 branding ensures visibility.

Y-3’s SS25 “Adizero Running” collection is available for purchase on adidas’ Y-3 website. Click the gallery to get a glimpse of Assefa in the campaign photos.
