Labrum Concludes Its Trilogy With SS27 "Hands of Osmosis"

For Spring/Summer 2027, Labrum presented “Hands of Osmosis” at London Fashion Week, marking the concluding entry in its story-driven trilogy. Following previous entries that centered on sound and textiles, the London-based label turns its focus toward physical craft and cross-border generational making. The runway features tailored silhouettes, sports gear, custom footwear and accessories developed in tandem with several global collaborators.
Textile work spans continents and traditional techniques throughout the range. Handcrafted raffia trousers produced in India pull inspiration from Mende tribe masquerade attire, utilizing layered raffia alongside beadwork to mirror movement. The “Mamie Bakie” series introduces hand-embroidered garments honoring market vendors in Sierra Leone. Meanwhile, West African Adire indigo textiles inform the recurring Olokun flower graphic, which is adapted across contemporary sportswear pieces created with adidas.
For accessories, British milliner Lucy Barlow worked with the brand to merge West African weaving methods with traditional British millinery formats. Eyewear debuts via bold acetate and metal frames drawing from 1970s West African style figures, accented by custom Nomoli details. Sculptural leather bags reference forms from West African woodcarving and ceramics.
Footwear includes the collaborative, FW26 adidas Adizero EVO SL and the adidas Stan Smith London City Series pack, along with customized Dr. Martens models carrying the Olokun motif. Audio brand Bowers & Wilkins supplied bespoke Px8 S2 headphones clad in Labrum monogram fabric and custom engraving to match the live score by Sampha.
Selected pieces from the adidas collection release on October 1, while release dates for the mainline collection remain unconfirmed.
