Even Though John Cena Is Invisible, Him and His Sunscreen Are Working Overtime

The actor stars in Neutrogena’s “Sunscreen You Can’t See” campaign.

Neutrogena has been teasing a major celebrity partnership for the past few weeks and the brand is finally revealing that its newest ambassador is none other than the multi-talented John Cena.

The actor is starring in a campaign titled “Sunscreen You Can’t See” accompanying the launch of its newest sunscreen, the “Ultra Sheer” Mineral Face Liquid Sunscreen with SPF 70. In the short video, Cena arrives on set to begin his partnership with the brand, but no one can see him. He, like the sunscreen, is completely invisible to the naked eye.

Even though mineral sunscreens shield you from UVA and UVB rays, they usually contain a visible white cast — Neutrogena’s latest product doesn’t. Playing on the fact that the new product is super transparent, the funny video ensures its viewer that even though you don’t see the product go on the skin, it’s working to protect you from the sun’s rays.

“I had a blast working on this campaign. It’s funny, but it also gets across a really important point — wearing SPF every day isn’t something you should skip,” Cena said in a press statement. “Neutrogena ‘Ultra Sheer’ Sunscreen is lightweight, not greasy and honestly, it’s so sheer you barely notice it’s there.”
