KEEN Speeds Things Up With Its First-Ever Trail Running Shoe

Made for those who want to go a little faster.

KEEN is cranking up the pace on the mountains with its first trail running shoe, the Seek. After 22 years of eavesdropping on the trails and on its fans, the hiking footwear brand developed a first-class shoe to support runners on all terrains.

KEEN has been making hiking more accessible and getting folks closer to nature for thousands of miles, with durability, comfort and sustainability at its core. Will Schuh, director of product management, says in a press statement, “We built this shoe with the fan, for the fan, in a way that we haven’t ever done before.” The team spent two years in development, interviewing runners to find out what they were looking for and working with testers, with one lead developer running 900 miles wearing the prototype that became the Seek. If that’s not commitment, then we don’t know what is.

For the Gorp-core girlies wearing their KEEN’s with midi skirts and baggy jeans in the city, this one promises to get you into nature with its foam midsole and incredible traction that will make you want to speed through the mountains. The wide forefoot also provides extra room for improved comfort on uneven terrains, with the overall performance designed to suit any level of runner. While you may not be ready to go 900 miles, the Seek is there to support all kinds of off-pavement adventures.

The Seek is now available globally on the KEEN website, with more trail runner styles set to drop in 2026.
