A Look Inside the First-Ever Ice Studios "Ice City Series" Softball Game

Ice Studios hosted its first annual “Ice City Series” softball game in New York, and the outfits were perfect. In collaboration with Nike, the designs are reminiscent of ’90s gym clothes and have given us major FOMO.
Ice Studios is a creative community founded by photographer Renell Medrano and talent manager Jess Moloney, based across New York and London, representing multidisciplinary artists globally. Through building this collective, they have established a strong voice of creatives that speak to a diverse audience while focusing on celebrating women and their unique perspectives. A previous project includes ICE Magazine, which is a contemporary reimagining of the traditional ‘lads mag’, recreated to empower women.
For its latest move, the community hosted a softball game shot by photographer Andre Mercharles. As women’s sport gains visibility and viewership online, there is also an increase in in-person sporting activities just for the girls. From mobile tennis clubs to social football leagues, these communities are popping up across the globe, with brands now taking note too.
