9 Years Later... 'Stranger Things' Returns
Starting with Vecna.
Nine years after its release, Stranger Things is coming back to Netflix.

Releasing November 26, 2025, Season 5 begins in the fall of 1987, the streaming giant shared. “Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna.” Yes, Vecna is alive. “But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding.”
Simultaneously, “the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”
Fans shouldn’t grow too eager, however, as Season 5 releases in three parts — and they’re weeks apart. Episodes 1 to 4 release on November 26 at 8 p.m. EST. The next batch of episodes, episodes 5 to 7, will be released on Christmas night at 8:00 p.m. EST. The season finale has secured its own release with a New Year’s Eve release date.
