Original Penguin Celebrates 70 Years With the Launch of Pete’s Club

Where community, culture and sport meet.

After a very sporty weekend with the Wimbledon finals, the Women’s Euros and the FIFA Club World Cup, you might just be in the mood for a fresh curation of sportswear. In celebration of its 70th year, the classic American sports lifestyle brand Original Penguin is bringing you just that.

Introducing Pete’s Club, described as part capsule and part cultural club, it brings the brand’s sporting heritage together with timeless style. The collection features a selection of both classic and refreshed pieces, including the iconic Earl Polo and performance gear designed for golf, tennis and padel. Expect knitwear, chinos, skorts and track jackets all with a classic Americana meets modern sportswear feel. The collection is perfect for moving seamlessly between on and off-court moments, whether serving Aces or sipping lattes.

Later this year, Original Penguin will also kickstart Pete’s Club through a series of community activities with pop-ups, events and exclusive collaborations, really highlighting the cultural space that will be created.

Carl Davies, CEO at Perry Ellis Europe, said in a statement, “Pete’s Club is our homage to 70 years of sport, style and individuality. It reinterprets our heritage with fresh energy – for a generation who value community, culture and play just as much as they do what they wear. Whether it’s a post-match pint, hanging out courtside or Sunday Tee Time, Pete’s Club is for anyone who’s in it for the good times.”

The collection will be available to shop on the Original Penguin website from August.
