Lindsay Lohan's 'Freakier Friday' Premiere Look Was a Major Throwback

Designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin.

It’s officially the summer of premieres as, fresh off the back of Wednesday Season 2, we’ve turned our attention to the upcoming release of Freakier Friday. No matter your stance on sequels and reboots, one thing cannot be denied: Lindsay Lohan absolutely nailed her premiere outfit.

Described as “one for the fans,” the glitzy lilac gown was designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin in a bid to mimic Lohan’s dress from the OG film’s famed finale. For those who may not recall, the first film concluded with Lohan’s performance at her mom’s wedding, where she arrives dressed in a slinky lilac dress with gold embroidery and a fishtail-style silhouette.

Now, over 20 years later, Lohan returned in a very similar number, nodding to the legendary look that we all knew and loved. Crafted from metal mesh, the dress featured Swarovski crystal embellishments in an upside-down heart shape. The actor then paired the nostalgic gown with a glitzy guitar-shaped accessory. Like we couldn’t love her any more.

Posting about the design on Instagram, the designer shared: “I can’t believe I’m actually writing this caption right now. I’ve been dreaming and manifesting this moment for nearly 20 years. And the best part of it all is that I got to see it with my own eyes! What an incredible privilege to be a creative and to have the opportunity to make your teenage dreams come true. I feel overwhelmed with joy and love right now. It’s a full-circle moment for me.”
