Glowny Is Blending Coquette-Core With Dark Academia for FW25

With a collection titled “Uphill,” all about self-discovery.

Seoul-founded brand Glowny needs to be on your radar. Launched by sisters Jane and Jiho Choi, “You Glow Differently” is the message, and you really will with its ultimate blend of soft romance and cute aesthetics.

For the Fall/Winter 2025 collection titled “Uphill,” it’s all about the climb and the resilience of self-discovery. You’ll find lots of layered textures and a bold palette that creates something between coquette-core and dark academia chic. It’s flirty, it’s feminine and it’s undeniably cool. Think plaid mini skirts, oversized jackets and lots of ruffled lace-trims that are ready to take you straight into your Gilmore Girls Fall era but with that added fashion flair.

The slogan for this collection reads, “At my own pace, where I belong,” something we can really get behind for the colder months. The pieces will also be stocked at HBX, so keep an eye out if you’re looking for date-night inspo, winter city-break fits or simply need the ultimate Fall mini-skirt and fluffy jacket combo.

Alongside the collection, the brand is unveiling its first concept store, “House of Glowny” in Dosan, South Korea. Going beyond just a retail destination, the space is designed as a home, an intimate environment filled with objects and lifestyle items that echo the brand’s identity, introducing it to customers as a personal experience. “House of Glowny” will also act as a creative hub, hosting partnerships and cultural collaborations that take the brand beyond its products.

The “Uphill” collection’s first and second drops are available to buy via the brand’s website, with the third drop releasing on October 13 and coming soon to HBX.
