Alpha Industries and Cecilie Bahnsen Reimagine the Bomber Jacket
Teaming up on a debut collection that proves girly and tough do go together.
A new year calls for a new collaboration, and Alpha Industries and Cecilie Bahnsen are starting things off strong. The two brands have teamed up for their first-ever collaboration, merging Alpha’s military heritage with Bahnsen’s signature romantic touch. Consider this the ultimate streetwear-meets-fairytale moment.
The capsule reimagines two of Alpha’s signature silhouettes, the MA-1 and N-2B bomber jackets, into three dreamy new styles. Through the lens of Cecilie Bahnsen’s delicate, detail-driven design yet rooted in utilitarian heritage, the pieces are transformed with new romantic textures that balance structure with softness.
Laser-cut florals, embroidered patches and dimensional finishes add movement and a tactile nature to the jackets, while remaining true to their original form. You’ll find the MA-1 in a black cropped silhouette, layered in cut-out fabrics that blossom outward. The N-2B appears in two colorways: a tonal navy and an army green with soft pink detailing. Each of these features floral patchwork inspired by a vintage gardening book, which Bahnsen discovered with her son, adding that personal touch. The hood can be unzipped to reveal the jacket’s signature onion-quilted interior, but now with Bahnsen’s added floral motifs. The perfect balance of feminine and edgy, this is the cool-girl addition to your winter wardrobe.
“I’ve seen so many girls, especially in Japan, styling bomber jackets over dresses,” shares Bahnsen. “It felt like a natural evolution of our world, to start with these iconic Alpha shapes and reinterpret them through our own lens of femininity.” The pieces are an elegant study in contrasts.
The collection drops January 23 on both the Alpha Industries and Cecilie Bahnsen websites, alongside the Dover Street Market Paris and London stores.
