Dina Ayada Fronts Salomon's New XT-Whisper Campaign
With the sneaker dropping in three additional colorways.
Salomon’s XT-Whisper sneaker is heading in a new direction this year, with the brand releasing three new colorways of the archival silhouette. Tapping Belgian artist Dina Ayada for the drop, the campaign explores her unconventional journey into music, as well as the new chapter in the sneaker’s evolution.
Ayada’s story started in law school, but when her 2022 freestyle “Miles Away” went viral, she decided to make music her full-time career. Of course, Salomon had to reference her come-up. Taking the new editions of the XT-Whisper from the classroom to the studio, Ayada models the shoes alongside textbooks, blackboards, boomboxes and microphones. Serving as a muse for the drop, this campaign is all about her inspiring success story.
Though Ayada captivates the lens, the shoes play a big part in the campaign, too. After pulling the XT out of the Salomon archives, the XT-Whisper relaunched in 2024 and has quickly become a fan favorite. Breathing new life into the silhouette for 2026, the shoe arrives in three updated color combinations: white and red, white and blue, and a sleek mix of grey that’s perfect for city breaks.
In a press release, Ayada said “Working with Salomon feels natural to me. We both believe in pushing limits, trusting your voice and showing up exactly as you are. The XT-Whisper is all about expression and that’s what my music is too. I love wearing the brand, the shoes, but I also love what it represents — a new generation that’s not afraid to be loud in its own way.”
The latest version of the XT-Whisper will be available to purchase starting February 4 on the Salomon website.
