Meet the Fresh Faces of the BFC Newgen 2026
Introducing the young designers shaping the future of British fashion.
The British Fashion Council (BFC) just dropped the ultimate fashion designer roster, announcing the recipients of the BFC NEWGEN initiative for 2026/27. Partnering up with PULL&BEAR, this legendary launchpad has been scouting the absolute best emerging talent since 1993, and this year’s concentrated cohort is packed with serious creative energy.
The program has helped launch the careers of now infamous designers, including Jonathan Anderson, Alexander McQueen and Grace Wales Bonner, with its top-tier mentorship, financial aid and a spot on the London Fashion Week calendar.
This year, returning designers include A LETTER, Charlie Constantinou, E.W.USIE, Johanna Parv, Karoline Vitto, Liza Keane, LUEDER, OCTI, Oscar Ouyang, Pauline Dujancourt, Steve O Smith, The Ouze and YAKU. Plus, a massive shoutout to the brand-new faces joining the roster: Francesca Lake, Gui Rosa and Petra Fagerström.
Chaired by fashion heavyweights Sarah Mower MBE and BFC Chief Executive Laura Weir, the selection panel handpicked these visionaries for their distinctive aesthetics and innovative edge across ready-to-wear and accessories. Thanks to the BFC’s revamped long-term growth strategy, these lucky designers aren’t just getting visibility, they’re scoring major financial grants, infrastructure support and tailored business mentorship to help them build commercially resilient empires.
Get ready, because this stellar cohort will be hitting the BFC NEWGEN showspace at London Fashion Week this September. Head to the BFC website for more information.
