Miu Miu Is Bringing Back an Archival Favorite With an Update
Reintroducing the Bubble sneaker.
Miu Miu is once again diving into the archives, and this time, it’s bringing back the early 2000s. Introducing the Bubble shoe, a reimagined take on an original model that channels the sportswear spirit of the era while feeling distinctly suited to fashion’s current obsession with retro runners.
First spotted on the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 runway in Paris, the Bubble shoe takes a softer, more refined approach to performance-inspired footwear. The sneaker silhouette arrives with a deconstructed upper crafted from leather and suede, lightly padded for a plush feel that balances comfort with luxury. Technical ribbed cotton laces, complete with contrast-dipped tips, add the kind of offbeat detailing that has become synonymous with Miu Miu’s aesthetic.
For those wanting something even more elevated, the label is also introducing a special technical nylon version embellished with jeweled embroidery, transforming the sporty silhouette into something altogether more luxurious.
The sneaker’s namesake sole has also been updated using lightweight technology, giving the exaggerated shape a more fluid and wearable feel. Layered textures and transparent elements create movement, modernizing the archival design without losing its nostalgic appeal.
Equal parts sporty and glamorous, the Bubble sneaker embodies the contradictions that have long made Miu Miu so compelling, proving once again that the fashion house knows exactly how to turn an archival style into this season’s must-have.
