Daniel Roseberry Switches up the Formula for Schiaparelli's FW26 Haute Couture Show
With latex tentacles, silicone bustiers and a sea-inspired runway show.
Haute Couture week Fall/Winter 2026 is upon us, and Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry is keeping it very real. The designer shared in his show notes that after trying and failing to copy last season’s winning creative process, he realized that sticking to a strict template just stifled the magic. Fantasy is not about formula.
Roseberry then totally surrendered to the unknown, introducing “The Call of the Void.” This season, the house bypassed traditional silks and satins for synthetic materials like latex, silicone and baked sheets of paint sculpted directly into silhouettes. The brand even flipped the script on house staples, where the signature Schiaparelli jacket is styled purely as an accessory to complement outfits, rather than a standalone piece.
Standout looks feature milky blue silicone bustiers, kinetic latex tentacles poking out from the shoulders and dresses bursting with weightless crinoline tubes. The color palette dives deep into ocean flora and fauna, featuring lobster pink, tangerine and pale mint against glossy black and signature Schiaparelli gold. The accessories are equally wild, introducing “The Bubble” shoe in an alien metallic shape fitted with a silicone sleeve. This was a lesson in reinventing the wheel for the brand.
