maharishi Will Be Dropping an Adorable "Year of the Chien" Tour Jacket Collection

Just in time for Chinese New Year, maharishi has unveiled a new “Year of the Chien” collection in celebration of the lunar holiday. Offering two variations of its tour jacket silhouette – one in “Maha Olive” and another in ”Black” – the outerwear item highlights a large graphic on the back, starring a British Bulldog and a French poodle. The intricate artwork adopts the classic aesthetic style of WWI comic postcards to underscore the jacket’s overall, nostalgic feel.
Each tour jacket is constructed with Lux Flight Nylon, made by Italian mill Majocchi. The beautiful material yields a silk-like texture that has been double-dyed in order to produce a mercurial quality that oscillates between a shiny or matte finish, depending on how the light hits the piece. As a true union of both form and function, the jacket is also windproof, breathable, insulating and resistant to abrasion.
The “Year of the Chien” jacket is slated to drop on February 2 at 11 a.m. London time, exclusively at maharishi.
