Go Backstage With STAND at Stockholm Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018

Coats to die for.

As seen last season, the Swedish label STAND is unmatched when it comes to creating trend-led, reimagined contemporary pieces in leather. The Fall/Winter 2018 collection, shown during Stockholm Fashion Week, was a perfect example of what this design duo do so well; patent and matte leathers were mixed seamlessly with soft faux furs and fuzzy shearling, giving a whole new dimension to the idea of “Scandi-cool.”

The easily wearable collection featured slouchy, relaxed silhouettes that retained that luxurious, yet casual feel and the color palette teamed stark red, blue and olive green tones with softer hues of dusty lavender and light blue. The looks were all complemented natural makeup, offset by heavy eyeliner and of course, Stockholm’s beloved footwear essentials – Eytys sneakers.

This season also marked the design duo’s first-ever foray into menswear. Mixing panelled biker jackets and bulky, camo-print jackets with leather track pants, the men’s collection was a natural counterpart to STAND’s womenswear collection and one that will no doubt bring added depth to the brand’s repertoire.
