Gucci Is in the Spirit of Giving This Holiday Season
Showcasing a diverse roster of jewelry for the festivities.
‘Tis the season and Gucci is certainly ready for the holidays. For its latest 2018 Gift Giving campaign, the Alessandro Michele-led fashion house has announced an extensive series of digital features, all accompanied by an exclusive film to set the tone. Along with a diverse roster of jewelry, handbags, shoes and fragrances, the holiday program also includes décor and childrenswear.
For the campaign, Gucci has tapped director Petra Collins to bring its holiday vision to life. Serving as the backdrop of the visual feature is the truly beguiling setting of Le Roi, a cinema-cum-dance hall in Turin that first opened in 1926. Thanks to its stunning interior dripping with classic Italian charm, the perfect milieu is set for a stylish ball bursting with glitz and glamor. Breathing new life into the all-too-familiar tradition of bringing in the New Year with plenty of festive revelry, the film is the perfect complement to the brand’s gift-giving approach to the holidays.
Among these fineries are a selection of stylish jewelry pieces, ranging from a statement black leather choker with a lion head and cross pendant; and a snake ring pendant in 18k yellow gold; to a mini-resurgence of the archival Square G motif as seen in a sterling silver ring and a cuboid earring.
As part of the campaign, the Gucci App will also be highlighting exclusive interactive content to promote the spirit of giving. Among these features is the Gucci Gift Box – an advent calendar of daily virtual presents – and illustrated photobooth stickers alongside seasonally themed smartphone wallpapers.
