Chanel Beauty’s SS19 Collection Presents a New Way of Wearing Dewy, "Wet" Makeup

For the glow-obsessed.

For Spring/Summer 2019, Chanel Beauty‘s global creative designer for makeup and color Lucia Pica has created a cosmetics range inspired by the visual intricacies that she’s experienced first hand during a trip to Japan and South Korea.

Titled “VISION D’ASIE: L’ART DU DÉTAIL,” the upcoming Chanel makeup collection plays with light and color to evoke the youthful energy of the warmer months. Whether it was the glimmer of fish scales captured at a Tokyo market, or wires shot suspended over a side street in Seoul, Pica’s rich photographic journey in East Asia has served as the foundation of this new line of makeup products.

In addition to a selection of ROUGE ALLURE VELVET and ROUGE ALLURE LIQUID POWDER lipsticks coming in bright, spring-appropriate shades, the collection also features a new product called the BAUME ESSENTIEL. Arriving in two variants, including Transparent and Sculpting, this new Chanel Beauty creation is essentially a highlighter stick that helps subtly define your face by giving the skin a natural-looking, dewy “wet” glow often seen in fashion editorials.

Also included as part of the SS19 makeup collection are the multi-shade eyeshadow palette LES 9 OMBRES in “Edition N2 quintessence,” the equally stunning OMBRE PREMIERE CREME eyeshadow in “840 Platine Bronze,” two LE VERNIS nail lacquer shades, as well as a travel-friendly, retractable highlighter brush.

Chanel Beauty’s SS19 makeup collection will hit stores come January 7, 2019. Expect to find the products at all Chanel Beauty counters.

In the meantime, scroll through the gallery above to see the entire collection. And while you’re here, take a look at our list of the best luxury and affordable makeup releases of 2018.
