Louis Vuitton Closes PFW With Classic Cars and Crystal Fringes
The fashion week finale is also rumored to be Nicolas Ghesquière’s last for the house.
Rumored to be Nicolas Ghesquière’s last for Louis Vuitton women’s, the brand’s Spring/Summer 2027 show was a pretty big one. Friends of the house like Zendaya (obv), BLACKPINK’s Lisa, and KATSEYE‘s Yoonchae and Daniela attended the show, which took place at the signature venue, the Louvre, and featured floating cars as part of its unique set design.
The collection, according to the brand, drew inspiration from movement and the relationship between “object, body and action.” With that in mind, looks were light and floaty, favoring draping techniques, delicate fabrics and playful ruffles. Everything was centred around how it moved and travelled.
Reimagining “second skin” from something figure-hugging and tight to weightless and barely felt by the wearer, the collection focused on how things actually feel as opposed to how they look. Several models also walked with crystal fringes, which concealed their foreheads and eyes, while others wore oversized, visor-style sunglasses with low tints, each accessory favoring lightness, simplicity and motion.
