Olympian Stephanie Au Poses in Nike's Air Max 270 "Ultramarine"
Peep BTS images from the shoot, too.
Olympian Stephanie Au is not only a world-class swimmer — she’s also a sneakerhead. In honor of Air Max Day, Nike Hong Kong tapped the record-breaking athlete to pose in the “Ultramarine” colorway of its new Air Max 270. The cozy lifestyle shoe is dominated by the tallest Max Unit yet with two Swooshes along the lateral. The bold neon pink hue complements the mesh white upper that hugs the foot like a slipper. The athlete-slash-actress shares her love for the Air Max silhouette:
“My first pair of Air Max followed me [from home] to college in the United States. I used to wear them to climb the hills of the university. Every day I walked around wearing Air Max and I didn’t know. And I wore them for all four years of university. My usual dressing style is mainly comfortable, as long as the upper body is lined up, I can choose a pair of matching shoes. And a lot of the times, my choice of footwear would be those Air Maxes.”
Stephanie is styled in a logo Nike T-shirt with trendy denim overalls to pair. We see a Nike keychain repurposed as an earring to complement her neon pink eyeshadow. The standout kicks work to make the outfit seem effortless. Peep the lookbook above and check out some exclusive behind-the-scenes shots below.
