Prada's Futuristic New Sneakers Are Bolder and Brighter Than Ever

Introducing the “Allacciate” and “Tronchetti” silhouettes.

Prada‘s Cloudbust sneaker has been one of the luxury brand’s standout casual footwear styles in the past few months and following that success, the brand is unleashing more sci-fi inspired sneakers. Enter the Allacciate and Tronchetti silhouettes.

The Allacciate has a low-top, Cloudbust-esque shape and is rendered in nylon, with a perforated mesh upper. It’s contrasted by black leather panels throughout and a tonal, bubble sole with a branded strap across the midfoot to fasten. This sneaker will be available in bright green or orange, and there are even two additional, graphic iterations too. Each of those feature the same construction but have a white upper with green or orange striped details woven throughout.

The Tronchetti is a high-top boot version of the previous sneaker. The general shape is the same, as is the fabric and design details, however this style has an elongated top that extends past the ankle. A stretchy black panel sits along the ankle so the shoe can easily be slipped on, aided by two pull tabs at the top. Rounding off this stylish moon boot is Prada branding debossed on the bubble sole – it will be dropping in vibrant green, hot pink, black and white and an all-black colorway.

Both sneakers were unveiled during Prada’s Fall/Winter 2018 show and are currently available for pre-order at Moda Operandi, with the Allacciate retailing for $850 USD and the Tronchetti for $1095 USD. Scroll through the options above and read more about Prada’s recent reinvention in the fashion industry.
