Before she hit the stage for her first performance at Coachella 2018, Bronx MC Cardi B caught up with hip-hop historian Nardwuar. The Canada native peppered the newly-pregnant entertainer with questions from her past bringing up her love for the childhood book series Junie B. Jones. Cardi compares herself to the outspoken third grader whose mouth often got her in trouble.
Nardwuar brought some gifts as well including a vinyl record of the Voices of History which plays back speeches of America’s most popular presidents. In her recent cover story with GQ, she wowed her interviewer with her memory recall of American history. When gifted another ’90s album, she admits that she plans on dedicating an Al B. Sure record to her fiancé Offset at their future wedding.
