Drake Enlists Jourdan Dunn, Yara Shahidi & More Women for "Nice For What" Music Video
A female anthem.
Drake has recently released his surprise new track titled “Nice For What” with an accompanying music video. Directed by Toronto-based talent Karena Evans, who is also responsible for the visual of Drizzy’s “God’s Plan,” the four-minute, visually rich short film features a star-studded cast of women from the realms of fashion, entertainment and beyond.
In particular, major girl bosses including Rashida Jones, Jourdan Dunn, Tiffany Haddish, Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, Misty Copeland, Olivia Wilde and Emma Roberts are spotlighted in the beautifully-shot video. Additionally, newcomers like Black Panther breakout star Letitia Wright, Black-ish actress Yara Shahidi, singer Syd, as well as Afro-Swedish model twins Elizabeth and Victoria Lejonhjärta have made cameos in the mesmerizing clip. Of course, the 6 God himself also appears in the video, as he dances along to the upbeat track.
Star power aside, the new song is a true celebration of strong and empowered women. Sampled from Lauryn Hill’s “Ex-Factor” from 1998, the party-ready track finds Drake rapping lines that perfectly capture the badass feminine attitude.
