Hallie Tut Is the Next Toronto Photographer You Need to Know
The young photographer takes us through her process.
Hallie Tut has only lived in Toronto for a year and a half and already she’s started to make a name for herself as one of the city’s most exciting young photographers. While many photographers take years to stand out from the pack and develop a signature approach, Hallie has everyone from CMDWN to Lil Yachty tapping her to capture them in her vibrant and psychedelic style, which she achieves using coloured lights to give her subjects a youthful, futuristic vibe.
At barely 18 years of age, Hallie just landed the biggest job of her career when Nike Toronto asked her to capture the imagery for its Air Max Day campaign, featuring a number of other rising Toronto creatives and highlighting the brand new Air Max 270 silhouette. We caught up with Hallie at Toronto’s Air Max Day celebration to learn more about how she developed her unique and coveted style, and how she got to work with one of the biggest brands in the world—all before she can legally drink.
