Vetements' New High-Top Trainers Look Very Similar to a Sneaker Favorite
Hmmmmm.
Having already seen logo trainers from Vetements that look awfully similar to the iconic adidas Originals Stan Smith sneakers, the Demna Gvasalia-run label now introduces another pair of oddly familiar sneakers. This time around, the fashion house seems to take inspiration from the classic Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star. The latest footwear arrival from Vetements is a canvas high-top sneaker that features an allover black and white print featuring the brand’s logo.
Alternating from standard and upside-down placement, the text creates a subtly off-kilter aesthetic to the shoe. Similar to the classic Converse high-tops, this version also highlights black piping along the top of the midsole, as well as a thick black stripe that runs along the middle of the sole. In place of the Converse All Star emblem on the heel, a Vetements replacement stands in its place. Rounding off the look is a rounded rubber toe cap, silver-tone eyelets, white leather lining and a rubber outsole. The shoes are made in Italy.
You can shop the new Vetements logo high-top sneakers now for $790 USD at select stockists such as SSENSE.
