Converse's Palm-Print Chuck Taylor 70s Are an Ode to Summer Vacations

A tropical update.

Converse’s Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers are an essential for everyone – they cross the boundaries between age, gender, personal style and occasion. They’ve already arrived in almost every colorway and pattern you could possibly imagine but for Spring/Summer 2018 the classic kicks receive an elevated, seasonal update.

You may have spotted these tropical beauties in the lookbook fronted by actress and cellist Nana Ouyang, but now we can get a closer look at the summery sneakers. Staying true to the timeless silhouette, these hi-top shoes comprise of a durable black canvas upper, upon which lies palm leaf-prints and carefully embroidered floral details in pastel pink and lilac tones. Contrasting the dark upper is a creamy, off-white toecap and vulcanised midsole. A Converse branded white patch can be seen on the inner side and completing the look is white laces and metallic, gold-tone eyelets.

You can shop these floral beauties £75 GBP (approx. $103 USD) at retailers like size? If you’re looking for some more summer-ready sneakers, check out this low-top pastel pink Converse Chuck Taylor Ox.
