NikeLab's GYAKUSOU Spring/Summer 2018 Collection Is Coming Soon

UNDERCOVER’s Jun Takahashi mixes technology and fashion.

NikeLab has debuted the new GYAKUSOU Spring/Summer 2018 collection. The line includes two jackets, a tank and shorts, all crafted with premium materials for flexibility and motion. UNDERCOVER designer Jun Takahashi took a minimalist’s approach to its design, aiming to put comfort and functionality at the center. The apparel is meant to tackle warm-weather problems such as flash rains and steamy weather, all while keeping the wearer dry and cool.

The hooded jacket has a two-in-one function transforming to a breathable vest with the pull of a zipper. Its hood and sleeves remove to reveal a body-mapped vest that has graphic patterns based on where rainfall often strikes the body. The grey, waterproof cover is reinforced with three layers of fabric to prevent a runner from being soaked. The second jacket option arrives in a pullover style equipped with a half-zipper. This piece is accented with reflective detailing that allows for night activity.

Rounding out the capsule is a Dri-FIT tank top that wicks moisture from the body and a pair of shorts that do the same. Both items also glow in the dark so that athletes can train at any time of the day. Women’s styles will be stocked at nike.com in May. To get an idea of what is to come, peep the editorial above.

In other Nike news, Virgil Abloh‘s “GHOSTING” Chuck 70 will be releasing soon.
