Move over, fanny packs. There’s a new handbag trend that’s taking over fashion this spring and summer: the micro bag. Does the size of the bag make it impractical? 100-percent, but fashion and style has never been entirely about functionality.
Well-loved by celebrities including Dua Lipa, Solange, Selena Gomez and Emily Ratajkowski, French label Jacquemus debuted the chicest mini bag during its Spring/Summer 2018 runway show at Paris Fashion Week. Dubbed Le Sac Chiquito, the Simon Porte Jacquemus-designed purse comes in a range of colors and materials like suede and polished leather to suit different moods.
Back in November 2017 when Rihanna was honored with a street named after her in Barbados, she celebrated in a head-to-toe yellow ensemble that’s perfectly accessorized with the Jacquemus bag in a matching hue. Most recently, sisters Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner sported lookalike outfits featuring plunging necklines, with both of them seen carrying a white Le Sac Chiquito in their hands — which makes us wonder if they’ve been sharing their wardrobes. Anyhow, if the sartorial choices of these celebrities aren’t enough to convince you that this is the It-bag of the season, we’re not sure what will.
