In this week’s edition of “The Sneaker Edit,” we’ve tallied up an array of footwear offerings from Nike to Reebok, to Vans and more. Last week’s installment featured picks from adidas Originals and even Converse. Staples in the editor-approved lineup include Reebok‘s Classic Nylon model in “White/Digital Pink,” a specially designed Vans Sk8-Hi Pro and Nike’s Air Max 97 SE in “Bordeaux.”
If you’re obsessed with Nike’s AM97 silhouette, we suggest the sleek Special Edition model arriving in a colorway dubbed “Bordeaux.” These conversation starters feature a soft corduroy upper in a rich maroon hue paired with a rose gold metal accents around the mini Swoosh. These kicks would pair perfectly with a pair of denim shorts and a casual tee, like the ones from Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s On The Run II tour merch.
We’re also really into adidas Originals’ Superstar 80s which just dropped in “Trace Pink.” This offering has an all-over, minimalistic tone and features black stitching. Switch up your summer wardrobe with this pastel pair, and style them with accessories like Everlane’s newly released Baseball Caps.
Also standing out amongst the lineup is Vans latest women-centric collaboration. The collab was created following a partnership with skate team rider Lizzie Armanto. Armanto was featured in Vans’ globally-released short film, “Girls Skate India.” Specs on the Sk8-Hi Pro design include a floral embroidered design all-over alongside suede and canvas textiles.
Reebok’s Classic Nylon arrives in a clean “White/Digital Pink” colorway. This vintage-inspired pair features an EVA midsole and a padded foam sockliner constructed to provide maximum comfort. Accents throughout the model consist of the colors “Digital Pink” and “Blue.” Detailing is rounded out by tonal lacing and a matching rubber outsole.
