A Closer Look at Off-White™ x RIMOWA's Transparent Suitcase Collaboration
By way of Frank Lebon’s short film, “PERSONAL BELONGINGS.”
Ahead of the release of their highly sought-after luggage collaboration, Off-White™ and RIMOWA have recently unveiled a short film by Frank Lebon entitled “PERSONAL BELONGINGS,” which highlights the street-chic, transparent suitcases.
Produced by Camera Club, the two-minute video delves deep into a young woman’s mind as she reflects on memories and dreams of a romantic relationship. Throughout the short, we see flashes of her fantasies and treasured episodes of her life triggered by the personal belongings she carries with her. While these belongings lead to speculations of her current relationship status, the woman is finally greeted by her lover at the arrivals hall at the airport.
Lebon speaks of the inspiration for the film,
“It is a ‘personal’ film about ‘belonging,’ about being in touch and what that really means and about how it’s hard to say good bye, but that it shouldn’t be.”
Watch “PERSONAL BELONGINGS” below to see it for yourself.
Presented on the runway recently during Off-White™’s Spring/Summer 2019 Men’s show in Paris, the suitcase collaboration will be available to shop in Europe on June 25 online and in-stores at RIMOWA, and at select Off-White™ boutiques. Customers in U.S. and Asia can expect a July 2 release. Check out the store list below for more information.
