Maison Margiela Releases Its Overly Deconstructed "Fusion Sneakers"
Arriving with visibly disheveled accents.
Maison Margiela‘s Splatter Sock sneakers recently found a spot in our roundup of the top luxury trainers worth splurging on. If you’re in the mood for another unconventional footwear, the fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2018 deconstructed design is just for you. Titled the “Fusion Sneakers,” this multi-colored offering includes countless eccentric details.
The avant-garde silhouette features a makeup constructed with black and white leather in addition to knit. More than that, silver and black plastic panels are emphasized alongside an accent which looks like duct tape. We also see matching lacing placed in disarray on the design. Rounding out the key accents is the white midsole and the contrasting upper with an appearance of cracking, dripping and wear and tear.
Head to Bergdorf Goodman to purchase Maison Margiela’s Fusion Sneakers where they retail for $1,645 USD.
