Vogue has released a behind-the-scenes video of Beyoncé‘s September 2018 cover shoot. The clip is directed by Tyler Mitchell who made history as the first African-American photographer to shoot the magazine’s cover in it’s 126-year history.
We see Beyoncé and her glam team prepping her hair with loose Bohemian braids. Her oldest daughter Blue Ivy takes up an unofficial role as production manager grabbing a camera to handle herself. Longtime makeup artist Sir John assists in creating the effortless look that she sports in the cover spread. The video is interrupted with candid shots of Beyoncé with her twins Rumi and Sir who she includes in the shoot.
