The high-end bodega-inspired bag trend just keeps on getting more luxe. Just a few months ago, Alexander Wang teased a crystal-studded mini bag on Instagram and plastic bags by the likes of COMME des GARÇONS and Celine continue to be amongst the most popular accessories when it comes to street style. Bringing an additional touch of magic to the style is designer Gelareh Mizrahi who’s just unveiled a holographic version of the modern-day classic.
The PVC bag sports a gleaming, iridescent finish with the signature “Thank You” phrase repeated across the front. It has an open top, with enough space inside for your daily essentials, so it’s perfect for city girls on the go. In true bodega style, there are two carry handles at the top and the statement piece is completed by a branded Gelareh Mizrahi patch that’s attached on the upper. If the shiny effect is a little too much for you, this bag also comes in a transparent version and if you want to elevate your look further, you can get it in a python finish too.
