Gucci Releases a Heart-Filled Chinese Valentine's Day Collection

Treat yourself.

Gucci jumps aboard the Chinese Valentine’s Day train and officially unveils special edition handbags, sneakers and accessories. Known as Qixi Festival, the holiday’s origins can be traced back 2,600 years to a Han Dynasty legend about two sweethearts.

The fan-favorite GG Marmont bag gets wrapped in smooth velvet for the limited drop. It appears in “Rubin,” a bright magenta color and “Black.” Both designs also come with colorful crystal heart motifs.

In the realm of footwear, the Gucci Ace trainers come in white with its typical stripe design on the lateral side. But this time, instead of a normal lacing system, they come with a large, embellished red and silver crystal heart strap on top of the laces. Lastly, the miniature card cases also follow the same theme and are emblazoned with the aforementioned symbols in silver and red.

Gucci’s Chinese Valentine’s Day collection is available online and at select Gucci boutiques. Take a look at select items in the gallery above.
