British singer Jorja Smith has made a name for herself in the music industry this year, releasing her debut album Lost & Found. From being featured on Kendrick Lamar‘s soundtrack to hit film Black Panther, to collaborating with Drake – there’s no doubt that anyone has missed the rising star.
In an interview with VEVO UK, Smith sits down to talk everything from her experiences growing up as mixed-race, to her music and the creation behind it. The singer also opens up about her experiences in school, and learning to accept yourself and your appearance. She also taps into the role models she found when she moved to London, and how they’ve changed her and led to her being proud of her own beauty and taught the importance of being yourself.
