Mansur Gavriel's Dreamy FW18 Show Was Made of Mini Bags, Classic Outerwear and Ladurée Cakes
The see-now-buy-now collection is already available to shop.
New York-based label Mansur Gavriel brought Paris to the Big Apple for its Fall/Winter 2018 runway presentation during the Spring/Summer 2019 shows. Continuing using the see-now-buy-now approach, the show was held on Sunday (September 9) early afternoon with the location decked out in gorgeous floral arrangements and macaron towers courtesy of Ladurée. The French patisserie was also responsible for all the delicate cakes served at the pink-hued guest tables. And while show attendees seem to be overjoyed by the desserts, the main treat really was the collection itself.
The brand’s FW18 range is probably its most playful yet. In addition to clean-cut, minimalist silhouettes that Mansur Gavriel is well-known for, designers Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel attempt to push the limits of their label a little further, resulting in bolder materials and colors used in the new collection. The brand’s signature bucket bag has been updated with a shearling exterior, while ankle boots and heels arrive in party-ready glitter gold and silver.
On the apparel front, we also see a balanced mix of classic, everyday wardrobe staples and a number of statement-making designs. From a pastel pink Wool Cashmere Oversized Coat and a timeless Camel Coat, to a matching, sparkly fringe two-piece set and a bright yellow Floral Embellished Gown, the collection is made for women who enjoy having a bit of fun with their personal style.
