Take a Look Inside the Incredible Hello Kitty Grand Cafe
Kawaii goodness in California.
Hello Kitty cafe’s are nothing new; Sanrio‘s beloved critter has taken over eateries all over the world, including everywhere from California to London. Her latest venture, however, is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before – welcome to the Hello Kitty Grand Cafe.
Located in Irvine, California, this will be the first-ever permanent Hello Kitty cafe in the U.S. and it boasts two separate, experiential spaces – one that’s casual, fast-service and is open to the public and another that’s a private, reservation-only room. The former features one-of-a-kind artwork gracing the walls, “grab and go” seating for up to 12 people and all sorts of on-the-go goodies like mini donuts, character cakes, as well as all-important merch like mugs and hair accessories. The latter space, dubbed the “Bow Room,” has all-pink decor and slick, Hello Kitty-branded elements throughout. This chic space offers reservation-only afternoon tea services in the afternoon, ideal for all Sanrio fans, and also transitions into a sleek cocktail bar at night. Of course, the cocktails themselves have a kitty-themed twist, with names including “You Had Me At Hello” and “Matcha Matcha.”
The cafe is due to open its doors on September 14, but you can take a sneak peek inside in the gallery above. In related news, have you copped anything from the Hello Kitty x Converse collaboration yet?
