Rowing Blazers' FW18 Lookbook Is Inspired by Vintage Ralph Lauren Ads
Preppy meets streetwear.
For its latest Fall/Winter 2018 collection, New York-based label Rowing Blazers introduces an array of staple pieces inspired by classic American collegiate style. Interpreting the garments is a lookbook that pays an homage to vintage Ralph Lauren ads, as well as the Japanese photography book, Take Ivy. Using both downtown Manhattan and Princeton as a backdrop, a distinct air of “preppy” youth is modernized for a contemporary street-style range.
Among the new arrivals are graphic tees, rugby shirts inspired by legendary artist David Hockney and music icon Mick Jagger, as well as a selection of tailored items such as wide-leg trousers, jackets and wide-wale Italian corduroy. Within the program are also collaborations with J. Press (the inventor of the Shaggy Dog sweater) and Harry’s New York Bar in Paris.
You can take a look at the full lookbook in the gallery above. The Rowing Blazers FW18 collection will be releasing via four deliveries – the first drop will launch on September 6 at the brand’s web store and Soho location.
