KENZO Is Switching To See-Now Buy-Now Next Season

The brand will not present at the upcoming Paris Fashion Week.

KENZO is officially switching to a “see-now, buy-now” format for its La Collection Memento line. The brand also stated that this switch means the brand will not present a collection at the upcoming Paris Fashion Week.

Rather than showing in Paris, KENZO will launch a new film titled, “The Everything” showcasing its newest collection during New York Fashion Week. The next KENZO runway show is set to take place in January 2019, which will showcase its men’s and women’s collection for the Fall/Winter 2019 season. Notably, the shift notes the reinvention of the high fashion brand.

In an official statement, co-creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon shared their thoughts on the business move:

“We are super excited to work on this project for next year. The response over the past two years to La Collection Memento from press, and customers alike has been amazing. Logistically it’s easier for us to present our main collections for KENZO in January and June and this will remain the case, but giving customers the option to buy La Collection Memento as soon as it hits the runway is something we’re thrilled to pursue.”

Stay tuned here as more news emerges on KENZO’s new film.
