Footwear News Announces 2019 Award Honorees, Including Kerby Jean-Raymond and Amina Muaddi
See who will be awarded at this year’s Oscars of shoes.
Shoe bible Footwear News has officially announced the honorees for its 33rd annual FN Achievement Awards. The diverse selection includes Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss (Person of the Year), Tommy Hilfiger (Collaborator of the Year), Amina Muaddi (Designer of the Year) and J Balvin (Style Influencer of the Year).
Steve Madden, Jeffrey Kalinsky of Jeffrey New York and Sandra Choi of Jimmy Choo will receive the Hall of Fame award and VF Corporation (which owns brands including The North Face, Dickies and Vans) will be honored with Company of the Year. The ceremony’s highest honor, Shoe of the Year, goes to Dr. Martens‘ classic 1460 Boot.
“All of our 2019 honorees have disrupted the fashion industry by breaking boundaries, and we are proud to recognize them for their outstanding achievements,” said Footwear News Editorial Director Michael Atmore. “Through their original and creative visions these visionaries have each made a significant cultural impact, that will continue to shape the future of fashion,” he said in an official statement.
The 2019 FN Achievement Awards will take place on December 3 at New York City’s IAC Headquarters.
