Gucci's "Towards Winter" Collection Is Filled with All-New GG Logo Pieces

Featuring soft woolen fabric from an original ’30s design.

Gucci is getting ahead and has just unveiled its “Towards Winter” collection featuring an array of seasonal essentials. Creative Director Alessandro Michele has gone for an imaginative aesthetic approach incorporating weighty fabrics for warmth, textures for comfort, as well as integrating the House’s signature motifs into the pieces with eclectic color combinations.

The label’s new GG wool fabric takes inspiration from the original ’30s design, embellished with the House interlocking G motif. The primary colors for the bags include a beige base and an ebony GG pattern, or a blue base and red GG pattern. For silk and soft accessories, three color variations have been incorporated: a pink-burgundy colorway, a beige-ebony mix and a blue-red combination, which can also be found on scarves, knitted hats, baseball caps, fedora hats, baker boy hats and visors.

As for footwear, the Princetown and New Jordaan slippers for women have been stripped of their usual leather material for a more casual feel. The boots are fully lined with plush shearling and have a rubber sole for extra grip. The men’s shoes feature boots, Princetown slippers, a driving mule with a shearling lining, a slip-on and New Ace sneaker. In addition to the collection, the luxury house will also launch ready-to-wear pieces in time for the colder months ahead.

Gucci’s “Towards Winter” collection will be available for purchase in-stores and Gucci’s website in October. In case you missed it, take a look at Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
