CHIMI Eyewear Taps Swedish Rapper Mwuana for Its Latest Collaboration
Introducing the “Craftsmanship” collection.
Following its previous collaboration with Swedish model Elsa Hosk earlier this year, CHIMI Eyewear is back with another drop, and has tapped rapper and musician Mwuana for its latest release. The singer created the track for Hosk’s previous “Chi in CHIMI” campaign, and has become one of the biggest names in the Swedish music scene.
“For most people I’m just Mwuana, but that’s just one side of my creativity. Creating inspires me to do my own thing as an artist. My music is what drives me forward, but everything is connected. In order for me to fill my creative needs, I need to be allowed to work across spectrums. This collab with CHIMI has given me just that, and I felt I had freedom on all levels,” said Mwuana about the collaboration, which features two new frames. Named after the singer’s catchy hit “Craftsmanship,” the two shades are titled Craftsmanship Square and the Craftsmanship Round, and sport a glossy, black Mazzuchelli acetate.
“The glasses reflect Mwuana’s original, yet classic style. We wanted to make sure that his artistic vision was central in the design”, said CHIMI’s designer Linnéa Ryrstam. The collaboration is set to release on October 15 at CHIMI’s website as well as its concept store in Stockholm.
