
Converse Reveals Newly-Designed Basketball Sneaker From Archives
Meet the All Star Pro BB silhouette.
Converse is gearing up to release a new performance-influenced sneaker. Dubbed the All Star Pro BB, the design marks the brand’s official return to basketball.
Constructed with function and form in mind, the shoe is capable of executing on-court maneuvers. Similar to Converse’s original All Star, the new model features an upper constructed with a single layer of modern canvas boasting a Nike Qaudfit mesh. Additional specs include a “simple rubber sole,” a “multi-textured toe bumper, ankle path and peg top upper.” the initial release will arrive in two colorways, black and white accentuated by hits of mandarin orange. Lastly, the design is lightweight, durable and responsive.
In an official press release, Nike Inc. shared the following:
“The ideals of the most storied basketball silhouette — minimal construction and maximum benefit — were guiding principles when reimagining a modern basketball sneaker from Converse. With access to Nike, Inc.’s pipeline of innovation and collaboration in the development process, the All Star Pro BB delivers on the promise of peak performance and ushers a new era of design for the Brand.”
