Here's an Official Look at Donald Glover x adidas Originals' Sneaker Collaboration

adidas Originals has shared an official look at its upcoming Donald Glover collaboration. Glover gave out pairs of the distressed sneakers following his Coachella 2019 performance getting fans ready for the launch. The Continental 80, Nizza and Lacombe silhouettes serve as the canvas for the partnership. To formally introduce the range, Glover directed a hilarious film series, “Donald Glover Presents,” which features the new footwear. Each pair arrives in an off-white shade with detailing that gives its a worn appearance. The Nizza and Lacombe are strung with multicolored laces that add more character to the low-top sneakers.
Glover shares his thought process behind the shoe’s design:
“Rich is a concept. With this project, I wanted to encourage people to think about how their stories can be told on their feet. Value isn’t quantified by what you wear, rather the experiences from them. And you make the decision on what works for you, you live through your own lens. The partnership for me is about being able to exemplify what doing your own thing truly looks and feels like.”
