No Problemo and Converse Launch a Sci-Fi Inspired Chuck 70 Capsule
Bringing extraterrestrial style to their first collaboration.
Cult-favorite brand No Problemo — the subversive, chic brainchild born from the creative ethos of Aries — is teaming up with Converse for their very first footwear collaboration. Together, they are reimagining the iconic Chuck 70 silhouette with a nostalgic, science fiction twist.
The capsule draws inspiration from 1970s science fiction films, UFO folklore and coming-of-age cinema, featuring two gorgeous, considered executions of the popular sneaker. First is the classic Chuck 70 Hi in a sleek shade of black, which swaps the traditional Converse ankle patch for No Problemo’s signature alien emblem. For a low-top moment, the Chuck 70 Ox arrives in white, elevated with fluorescent green details.
The design details are absolutely out of this world. Custom silver eyelets echo the almond-shaped eyes of the brand’s alien logo, while the laces feature the repeated cult slogan, “I want to believe.” Hidden beneath the surface, you’ll find tongue-in-cheek foil-print visuals on the insoles and box — a playful nod to tinfoil-hats and conspiracy theories.
The No Problemo x Converse capsule will be available to purchase starting July 21 on the No Problemo and Aries websites, as well as select retailers.
