Featuring nods to Greek mythology.
Gucci‘s Fall/Winter 2019 runway show at Milan Fashion Week was another glimpse into creative director Alessandro Michele‘s free-spirited imagination. The inventive unisex designs that went down the runway paid homage to Greek mythology’s infamous god Hermaphroditus. This was seen in the vintage-inspired suiting, colorful separates paired with accessories like mini-bags and unique masks. We recently were given an in-depth look at the lineup at the fashion house’s showroom.
Michele’s revamp of Gucci over the past few years has been led by his ability to design cult worthy handbags and jewelry. The FW19 range is marked by the gold “GG” watches, bracelets and earrings. Additionally, we couldn’t help but notice box-shaped leather bags featuring gold clasps and shoulder carry-alls in different textures. The lineup of accessories also featured leather sandals in an array of hues including green, red, white and black.
Lastly, the looks in the collection were equally captivating. These pieces were made up of must-have jackets, dresses and vibrant tops. As a whole the entire range was proof of Michele’s dedication to creating experimental lines.
